Guided Experiences with BERG-GESUND

For Young & Old

The BERG-GESUND association offers guided tours led by certified hiking and mountain guides who introduce you to the beauty of the Alpine world. In summer, the programme ranges from varied hiking tours to secured via ferrata climbs, while winter offers special experiences such as snowshoe hikes and ski touring. Participation is free of charge for our guests.

Rock Climbing

At the Hüttschlager Wand, three secured via ferrata routes – “Kupfergeist”, “Gletschergoaß” and “Franzl” – await climbers, suitable for beginners as well as experienced adventurers. Additional routes can be found at Saukarkopf and Schuhflicker.

Adventure-Sport

From rafting and canyoning in rushing rivers to paragliding and hang-gliding high above the mountains – those looking for adrenaline will find unforgettable highlights for the whole family.

Segway Tours

Weekly guided Segway tours with a professional guide offer a new perspective of the Grossarltal. Alternatively, Segways can be rented directly in the village at SPORT Kendlbacher 2000.

Do you love spending winter outdoors but not necessarily on skis? Perfect – because the Grossarltal shows just how varied a winter family holiday can be. Our additional service includes snowshoe rental (for a fee) as well as free rental of sledges, ski poles and sheepskins.

Snowshoe Hiking

A snowshoe hike with the experienced BERG-GESUND guides promises an unforgettable experience. Introductory tours for beginners and routes for advanced hikers are offered several times a week.

Tobogganing

For maximum tobogganing fun with the whole family, head to the 3 km natural toboggan run at Lammwirt, illuminated until 11:00 pm. A real insider tip is the hike to the Loosbichlalm: enjoy the snowy winter scenery on the way up, warm up in the cosy alpine hut and then sled back down to the valley.

Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride

Pure nostalgia: wrapped in warm blankets, glide through the snowy Grossarltal in a horse-drawn sleigh. The gentle sound of the bells and the peaceful winter landscape make this experience truly special.

Cross-Country Skiing

The Hüttschlag cross-country trail begins directly in front of the hotel and stretches for 13 km. From there, you can continue onto the 16 km Großarl trail. For the perfect start, we recommend lessons at the Dynercross cross-country ski school.
